Semi-Automated Medical Consumable Assembly Station

Design-build of manufacturing cells and custom tooling to automate the critical fill and assembly processes of Pattern's proprietary test consumable, bringing their R&D consumable line to Pilot scale in support of clinical trials and initial market launch.

Modular Medical Device Component Test Stations

Design-build of modular test benches used in FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing stations. Units perform critical burn-in and evaluation testing of sub-assemblies to deliver quality product to downstream assembly stations and avoid costly rework.

  • Large-format realtime test display with datalogging for traceability
  • Bi-directional drivers for 24 individual TECs, monitoring 48 discrete thermistors per bench
  • CTI e-box and software provides user-programmable TEC and Cartridge heater thermal profiles
  • Tests from 1-12 sub-assemblies in locked-out environment for operator safety

Prototype Medical Consumable Assembly Stations

Design-build of modular manufacturing workstations including custom sealing head tooling to automate the critical reagent dispense and film sealing processes of Luminex's advanced Rapid PCR device consumable to provide repeatable product for Alpha-stage laboratory testing.

  • Operators move plastic components between stations to fill and seal with controlled process
  • 11 Stations built into 3 modular benches allow reconfiguration for assembly order
  • CTI electrical box houses servo drives and PLC controller, running proprietary controls software
  • Stepper-driven needle positioning head simultaneously dispenses 5-50 microliters into 8 wells
